Effects of Intensive Math Intervention
at Fort Stockton Middle School
A Three Year Study

 

Gil-Rey Madrid has been principal of both Fort Stockton Middle and High School with an 87% Hispanic and 67% economically disadvantaged student population.  He has a three year record of incredible success with ELL students and others that are two, three, even four years below grade level in math. It all started when his middle school did not make AYP. The strategies he developed with the help of Ascend Math propelled his school to the highest student performance in math among middle and junior high schools in his region.
