Distance Learning
During this unusually trying time of COVID 19, we have heard countless ways in which schools have continued with math learning using Ascend Math. These educators reported grade level growth, students completing their year’s work, and many other positive touch points and outcomes. Here, a few educators share what they are doing to support their students.
Newman International Academy of Vietnam
Newman School of Vietnam began using Ascend Math in January 2020 just a few short weeks prior to shelter in place in Vietnam. Students continued distance learning in Ascend Math until they returned to school April 27, 2020 and several achieved multiple grade level growth.
“With COVID-19, most of the education has been virtual. Even with that challenge, the growth has been fantastic.”
Serena Nguyen
Instructor, Global REAP, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
“The success of the program is outstanding. All of the students have increased a grade level while some of the students have increased two grade levels in under four months. This has occurred with English being their second language.”
